The Peaky Blinders are back: check out the first trailer for the brand new season
Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy and co are back again for another season of Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders.
Adrien Brody (The Jacket, The Pianist) and Aiden Gillen (Game Of Thrones, Love/Hate) have both been confirmed as characters in the new season. We get a glimpse at both of these new characters in the trailer. Charlie Murphy (Love/Hate. The Last Kingdom) has also joined the cast of season four.
If you are new to the series then there is no better time than now to get started. A fifth season has already been confirmed. Where it will go after season 5 is uncertain at this time.
Cillian Murphy said this about the return of Thomas Shelby in season four:
“Everything has changed because I think his family think he has betrayed them,” Murphy said. “It’ll be up to Tommy to demonstrate that he hasn’t betrayed them and that he has a bigger plan. And the question is, what that bigger plan is. Who is he going to call, you know, what is going to happen to the family? Can he ever get that level of trust or love back again?”
Creator Steven Knight will pen all episodes for Peaky Blinders season four + five
“I’m loving it, and it’s not like work, it’s not like a labour, I love doing it, and the boys are coming back and they’re loving the scripts”
As for where the show will go after season 5: “I have got the end in my mind – whether that happens at the end of five is the question. I want it to end when the first air-raid siren sounds in Birmingham.”
