Rainn Wilson Joins Prehistoric Shark Movie MEG

It finally looks like killer shark movie MEG is out of development hell

mg1Recently the news broke that action-maestro, Jason Statham has been cast in the lead role in the adaptation of Steve Alten’s killer shark bestseller, Meg.

Hey, I am not a fan of Mr Statham, but I can get 100% get why people love him. I wouldn’t go out of my way to watch a Jason Statham movie – but would I watch him battle a prehistoric shark?. Yes, I would, very much-so….shut up and take my cash!

Now we have another reason to get excited for MEG, Rainn Wilson (The Office U.S) has now joined the cast.

Rainn Wilson will play a character called Jack Morris. A tech billionaire who is responsible for MEG surfacing from the deep. Wilson’s character funds an underwater observation that unleashes the 7o-foot Dino-shark from the depths of the ocean.

MEG is adapted from a novel written by Steven Alten which was first published in 1997.

MEG is due for release sometime in 2018. Any updates, set pics, casting news, you guys will be the first to know.
