New To Netflix, Toa Fraser’s Maori Warrior Epic, The Deadlands

deadlands

The Dead lands is another film that has got a lot of love on Moviehooker. I am a huge fan of action films, especially when they offer something that is rarely seen in films today.

The Dead lands has some mixed reviews but I can honestly say that if you’re a fan of well choreographed fight scenes and great action sequences, then it’s definitely a must watch. And to see all this bloodshed happen, Maori warrior style offers us something a little different from what we’re used to in action films.

The film is┬áproduced by XYZFilms (The Raid, The Raid 2, Spring, On The Job) and was selected for New Zealand’s Oscar entry for best foreign language film but wasn’t nominated – still, that’s a fantastic achievement and Fraser and his team should be super proud.

The Dead Lands is now available for instant streaming on Netflix U.S. Enjoy

Official Plot

After his tribe is slaughtered through an act of treachery, the teenage son of a slain Maori chieftain looks to avenge his father’s murder and bring peace and honour to the souls of his loved ones.
