I have been a fan of the found-footage genre for some time. I know that there has been a lot of shit released as well, but in my opinion the good always outweighs the bad…if done right, these films can be absolute terrifying and can leave you scarred for quite some time.
Creep has been getting some fantastic reviews, so if you’re a fan of the found-footage genre, you’ll want to be adding this to your watch-list. It looks like a lot of fun…plus one critic said it’s, “What About Bob, Meets, Fatal Attraction”. What more could one possibly want from a film ?
Looking for work, Aaron (Brice) comes across a cryptic online ad: ‘$1,000 for the day. Filming service. Discretion is appreciated.’ Low on cash and full of naiveté, he decides to go for it. He drives to a cabin in a remote mountain town where he meets Josef (Mark Duplass), his cinematic subject for the day. Josef is sincere and the project seems heartfelt, so Aaron begins to film. But as the day goes on, it becomes clear that Josef is not who he says, and his intentions are not at all pure.
Creep is now available on iTunes and will be on Netflix, July 14th
