Kevin Costner and Woody Harrellson play the two cops that brought down Bonnie & Clyde in new Netflix thriller THE HIGHWAYMEN
We all know of the story of Bonnie & Clyde. A lot of us have seen the great self-titled 1967 movie. Arthur Penn’s original film starred Faye Dunaway, Warren Beatty, Michael J. Pollard and Gene Hackman.
By the end of their reign of robberies Bonnie & and Clyde was reportedly responsible for the murder of 9 police officers with a few civilians caught in the crossfire too. The Highwaymen will focus on the old-school Texas Rangers that lead the feds into the ambush that resulted in the death of the outlaws.
OFFICIAL PLOT FOR THE HIGHWAYMEN
The outlaws made headlines. The lawmen made history. From director John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side), THE HIGHWAYMEN follows the untold true story of the legendary detectives who brought down Bonnie and Clyde. When the full force of the FBI and the latest forensic technology aren’t enough to capture the nation’s most notorious criminals, two former Texas Rangers (Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson) must rely on their gut instincts and old-school skills to get the job done.
Netflix has a lot of great films coming next year. This came out of nowhere but even with the cast alone, you know it’s going to be one to watch out for. We also have Ben Affleck actioner Triple Frontier, and also, the new Scorsese gangster epic, The Irishman as well Dan Gilroy’s psychological thriller Velvet Buzzsaw.
