New TV Show To Tell Story Of David Koresh And Infamous WACO Siege

The Weinstein Company are working on a new TV series that focuses on the events that took place in WACO

Deadline reported that a new TV series is in the works based on the famous religious, Waco, Texas siege.

Michael Shannon and Taylor Kitsch are set to star in the series. Shannon will play FBI negotiator Gary Noesner, and Kitsch will play the leader of the Branch Davidians cult

The Branch Davidians barricaded themselves into their compound with automatic weapons, ready to kill, and die. The religious sect was led by infamous, religious-nut, cult leader David Koresh.

Koresh brainwashed people with religious mumbo-jumbo,  they saw him as a messiah figure and they paid the ultimate price. The siege that took place in Waco, Texas lasted 51 days and resulted in the deaths of …

The series will be written by  brothers John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle.

The Dowdle brothers are known for As Above So Below, Quarantine, No Escape, and Devil.

The incident began when the ATF attempted to raid the ranch. An intense gun battle erupted, resulting in the deaths of four government agents and six Branch Davidians. Upon the ATF’s failure to raid the compound, a siege was initiated by the FBI, the standoff lasting 51 days. Eventually, the FBI launched an assault and initiated a tear gas attack in an attempt to force the Branch Davidians out of the ranch. During the attack, a fire engulfed Mount Carmel Center. 76 people died,including David Koresh.
