Duncan Jones’ new sci-fi, MUTE will hit Netflix next month
When Moon was released in 2009, the reviews were mainly solid. Personally, I loved the movie. Even if I didn’t, I could still appreciate the craftsmanship at hand. It was a minimal movie sporting great on-screen and behind the camera efforts from both Jones and leading man Sam Rockwell. Moon was a sci-fi gem that achieved maximum effect, set in one location with primarily one cast member. I can get why some people wouldn’t like it but to me, it was a sci-fi masterpiece.

When the news dropped that Jones would be making a (sort of) follow-up to Moon, it was time to get excited. We knew that Rockwell would not be returning. Mute was described as a “spiritual sequel to Moon“…whatever that means!.
According to SlashFilm, Jones spilt the beans on the Netflix release date for Mute via his Twitter account.
Alexander Skarsgård (Legend Of Tarzan) is the leading man in Mute. The film also stars Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Justin Theroux (The Leftovers) and Seyneb Saleh (Mute seems to be Seyneb Saleh’s only acting credit to date).
