New Trailer for brutal Sci-fi horror THE VOID

It’s been on the radar since the days of pre-production. Now, at long last, we are able to share the insane new trailer for new horror sci-fi, The Void and it does not disappoint.

The first trailer we got treated to showed us that the guys from Astron-6 are going for a very heavy practical effects movie.

So, we can expect the special FX in The Void to be nothing less than shockingly, real looking and enough to make any gorehound cringe. It has been compared to the work of John Carpenter, and in a world overrun by digital artistry, I welcome any a The lads who made The Void are masters of their art, with serious credentials behind them. Directors Jeremy Gillespie and Steven Kotanski have been working in the makeup FX departments of some of the biggest blockbusters in recent years. Some films include Pacific Rim, Resident Evil, Crimson Peak. Other films include Robocop (remake), Pixels, Total Recall (remake) and the hugely anticipated upcoming reboot of Stephen King’s, IT.

In the middle of a routine patrol, officer Daniel Carter happens upon a blood-soaked figure limping down a deserted stretch of road. He rushes the young man to a nearby rural hospital staffed by a skeleton crew, only to discover that patients and personnel are transforming into something inhuman. As the horror intensifies, Carter leads the other survivors on a hellish voyage into the subterranean depths of the hospital in a desperate bid to end the nightmare before it’s too late.
