COME TO DADDY
Come To Daddy is the directorial debut from Ant Timpson. Before Come To Daddy, Timpson served as a producer on indie horror flicks, The ABC’s Of Death, The Greasy Strangler, Turbo Kid and Housebound.
Elijah Wood stars as Norvel, a troubled man down on his luck. Norvel is a recovering alcoholic and on the mend from a recent suicide attempt which has forced him to move back in with his mother.
Norvel receives a letter from his estranged father which leaves him curious. With nothing left to lose, he accepts an invitation to his father’s secluded cabin in the woods. When he arrives he notices something is wrong with father’s behaviour. Maybe staying home with mum wasn’t a bad idea in the first place?
I am sure you will agree with me that Elijah Wood has chosen some great roles in the past. His roles in Maniac & Macon Blair’s, I Don’t Feel At Home In This World Anymore proved he can play both, a ninja-star-throwing badass and a deranged serial killer with serious mommy issues and a fondness for scalps. Not to mention his production company Spectrevision which he co-founded with
Josh Waller, Daniel Noah have backed a tonne of great films.
Our very own Michael Smiley co-stars in this dark thriller/comedy. Also co-starring is Stephen McHattie, Martin Donovan, Madeleine Sami and Simon Chin
More news to follow on Come To Daddy and other great titles playing at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival
