After defeating an alien threat using Jiu-Jitsu Nic Cage is back to fight demonic animatronics in Willy’s Wonderland
Back with a freshly dyed beard, Nic Cage must battle a load of demonic animatronics after getting the janitorial job from hell in an abandoned amusement park.
If you don’t take Willy’s Wonderland seriously, I think there could be a lot to enjoy about it. Willy’s Wonderland looks like a lot of fun and pays homage classic killer doll flicks like Demonic Toys, Puppet Master and of course Child’s Play. I grew up on those movies and have so much respect for them. In a way, it was those films that paved my way into a life and love for horror. Will it be scary? I am gonna say absolutely not! but that don’t mean we won’t enjoy it for its silliness.
Nic Cage seems to have found his niche market by releasing crazy indie features. The Colour Out Of Space and Mandy and have set the bar high for Cage. I totally get why some people wouldn’t be a fan but personally, I am enjoying all of the ridiculously weird and wonderful roles he is choosing.
Willy’s Wonderland is directed by Kevin Lewis and written by G.O. Parsons. It is due for release on February 12th. I am not sure about which platform it will be released on but I am guessing it will be the usual VOD platforms.
OFFICIAL PLOT (IMDb)
A quiet drifter is tricked into a janitorial job at the now condemned Wally’s Wonderland. The mundane tasks suddenly become an all-out fight for survival against wave after wave of demonic animatronics. Fists fly, kicks land, titans clash — and only one side will make it out alive.
