On Amazon Prime: Dragged Across Concrete (Re-Review) and other S.Craig Zahler Info

For his next project, Zahler is teaming up with the legendary Park Chan-wook for an ultra-violent western called The Brigands of Rattleborge. Zahler will be writing the screenplay based off of his novel with Chan-wook directing. Matthew McConaughey is eyed for the lead role.

I remember learning about this western and being so fucking happy with the news. But whatever article I read, they must have got things a little mixed up. The article I read said Zahler and Chan-wook would be teaming up for an ultra-violent werewolf western.

Here’s the thing

Zahler is also an author and musician. From what I can gather, he does have a western that features some kind of “snarling monster”. That book is called Wraiths of the Broken Land. Ridley Scott is supposedly on board to direct this adaptation into a feature film. As much as I am a fan of Ridley Scott, it worries me quite a bit as he is known for toning down the violence in his filmS to suit big-wig companies censorship guidelines. As for Chan-wook…well, his content is always dark and pushes the boundaries of filmmaking.

S. Craig Zahler is also releasing his first graphic novel on 29th October., 2020. I can not wait to read it. It is called Forbidden Surgeries of the Hideous Dr. Divinus. The first time I checked this out it was available for pre-order for $10.95 – it is now at $15.95 but I still think that is a fantastic price. And before you all think these are affiliate links, they are not! I am a fan, that’s it. If I can get someone else onto his great content then I know I am doing my job here at Moviehooker right.

Anyways, that is it for this article. It turned out way longer than I intended it to be. I do hope you enjoyed it.

As always, thanks for reading.
