Sicario is the new film from Enemy and Prisoners director Denis Villeneuve, and stars Emily Blunt, Jon Berthnal, Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin. The film had it’s première at this years Cannes Film Festival and received a 7 minute standing ovation, which is pretty impressive. It is going to be quite the film and features hitmen, Mexican drug cartels, and dirty FEDS.

I was a huge fan of both Enemy, and Prisoners. I know some people didn’t quite get Enemy, and that is understandable, but personally I enjoyed it (after watching a second time). Prisoners was a damn fine crime/thriller with great performances from both Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal, it was one of the best thrillers of 2013, and it still stand it’s ground.

SICARIO Official Plot  (IMDb)

Led by an enigmatic consultant with a questionable past, the team sets out on a clandestine journey forcing Kate to question everything that she believes in order to survive.
