The Alienist Season 2 Is Hitting Netflix Sooner Than You Might Think

Netflix will drop season 2 of The Alienist on October 22nd

It feels like forever since we got treated to the first season of period serial killer drama, The Alienist. We have always known, thanks to a repetitive Netflix message “it’s official, another season is coming” well, I almost gave up hope, with Netflix cancelling shows faster than they were announcing them.

But finally, Netflix has given us a date for season two. The Alienist Season 2 will drop on October 22nd…that’s right, 2 days away….in time for a Halloween binge. It initially had its run on TNT so Netflix managed to grab it quite quick.

The second season is titled Angel Of Darkness will see our cast from the first series return: Daniel Brühl as Dr Laszlo Kreizler, Dakota Fanning as Sara Howard & Luke Evans as John Moore

Still based on a novel by Caleb Carr, Angel Of Darkness takes place one year after the events of season 1.

This case is to do with the death of an infant. The trio then realises that a nurse was responsible for the death of the child and many others too. It sounds pretty damn bleak!

It is crazy that when I am sitting writing this, I have the tv playing in the background. I have been watching Britain’s Most Evil Killers. I started it a few nights ago before I sat down to watch the David Tennant serial killer drama, Des. Now, the episode that is playing is about Beverley Gail Allitt: The Angel Of Death. I mean, how crazy is that?. I know the name is slightly different but she was arrested for the murder of four children while working as a nurse on a children’s ward in the U.K.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy the 2nd season. It might be time to give season 1 another viewing before it arrives.

As always, thanks for reading
