Narcos Renewed At Netflix For Two More Seasons

Netflix series Narcos has finally returned with season 2 and it looks like we’re getting more!

If you’re a fan of Netflix series Narcos then chances are you’ve already finished season 2. Either that, or you’re in the depths of a Narcos binge, and that’s where I am currently at.

Multiple sites have reported that the Netflix original series, Narcos will be returning for a 3rd and 4th season.

I have not finished season 2 yet but I am pretty sure I already know what happens. We know how Escobar’s cocaine empire crumbled to the ground and we all know how he met his fate, so it ain’t like I’m spoiling anything.

So where is the third series going to be set?: well, by the looks of things the series (for the meantime) is going to be staying in Columbia. The third series is supposedly going to focus of another Colombian drug cartel called The Cali Cartel. If you have watched season two then you’ve probably met these lovely bunch of gentlemen already.

All of this cash and I can’t find a decent red pen that won’t explode!

Here is their info from wiki,  so you will know what to expect…

The Cali Cartel was a drug cartel based in southern Colombia, around the city of Cali and the Valle del Cauca Department. Its founders were the Rodríguez Orejuela brothers, Gilberto and Miguel, and José Santacruz Londoño, also known as “Chepe”.

They broke away from Pablo Escobar and his Medellin associates in the late 1980s when Hélmer Herrera, also known as “Pacho”, joined what became a four-man executive board that ran the cartel.

At the height of the Cali Cartel’s reign, they were cited as having control over 90% of the world’s cocaine market and for being directly responsible for the growth of the cocaine market in Europe, controlling 90% of the market. By the mid-1990s, the trafficking empire of the Cali Cartel was a multibillion-dollar enterprise.

Netflix will premiere Narcos season 3 in 2017.

Produced by Jose Padilha (Elite Squad, Elie Squad 2, RoboCop, Narcos S01, Bus 174) & Eric Newman (Children of Men)
