New Texas Chainsaw Movie Acquired By Netflix

Netflix has snapped up the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre sequel

The new Texas Chainsaw Massacre sequel is said to take part straight after the events of the first film. If remember correctly (it’s been years since I’ve seen it) the last remaining survivor escaped on the back of a pick-up truck of some passerby. This left Leatherface angry and we see him lash out in a violent rage and try to chainsaw all of the air out of the sky.

I dunno, but I do find it sort of suspect that we have heard very little about the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie. So far, I am pretty sure all we have got is a poster. Ok, it was a damn nice poster but that was it – no set pics etc. Even if you go to the official IMDb page the ridiculously lazy synopsis reads “Another sequel to the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre”. Seriously? are they even trying to promote and sell this to us because it really doesn’t seem like it. I hope I am wrong.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre Netflix

The story for the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie was developed by Rodo Sayagues & Evil Dead remake director/writer Fede Alvarez. The screenplay for the film was then written by Chris Thomas Devlin.

We also have the cast to share with all

The new instalment of the hugely popular franchise will be directed by David Blue Garcia. This marks Garcia’s first entry into the horror genre with his last film being the thriller, “Tejano”. Tejano told the story of a guy who breaks his own arm so he can smuggle a cast made of cocaine across the Mexican border into the U.S to get money to help his sick grandmother.

I hope now that Netflix has bought the rights we will start to get a glimpse of what to expect from the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie. I will update this article when more news is announced. As always, thanks for reading.
