Dash: New One Take Thriller From XYZ Films

We have seen a pretty big surge in movies like Dash…and that’s far from a bad thing.

I actually love how these films, with just a handful of cast members and one location, can have the same effect on us as any other big-budgeted film. The first film I can remember was Steven Knight’s, Locke starring Tom Hardy, we also had an Irish movie called Night Ride (released last year on Netflix) as well as Spree and more recently Dashcam. All of these movies I have mentioned are so good so I am excited to see what hilarious chaos is involved with Dash.

Dash looks like one hell of a fun ride. I am a sucker for a good quote. So, if someone has compared this to a blend of Hitchcock, Tarantino and The Coen Brothers then I’m all over it.

DASH follows Milly, your average everyday rideshare driver preparing himself for a night shift behind the wheel… by purchasing a massive amount of cocaine from a prostitute. On the perilous Hollywood streets, he attempts to sell the drugs to his unassuming passengers including a homosexual thruple, some phone-obsessed gen Z’ers, and even an off-duty police officer.

His attempt to illegally fund his sinful actions takes a literal turn for the worse when he picks up a drug addict going through severe withdrawal. Desperately trying to take his nefarious, double-life to the grave, he continues on, only to keep digging a deeper grave for himself.
