UPDATED: Teaser From David Cronenberg’s CRIMES OF THE FUTURE

David Cronenberg is back with a brand new film, Crimes of the Future AND WE NOW HAVE THE TEASER TRAILER

Cronenberg will reunite with A history Of Violence star Viggo Mortensen. The brand new sci-fi, crimes of the Future is written and directed by Cronenberg himself. This will mark Cronenberg’s first original screenplay since eXistenZ (1999). His first original script in over 20-years, you just know this will both f*ck and blow your mind.

Viggo Mortensen said this about his experience (just 2 days) to date on the set of Crime of the Future

As we begin filming ‘Crimes of the Future,’ just two days into this new adventure with David Cronenberg, it feels like we’ve entered a story he collaborated on with Samuel Beckett and William Burroughs if that were possible,”

“We are being pulled into a world that is not quite like this or any other, and yet is one that feels strangely familiar, immediate and quite credible. I can’t wait to see where we end up

Wow, that is quite the statement. As you all know when Cronenberg releases a film, his stamp of authenticity is in his storytelling and direction. There ain’t anyone out like him and there never will be. Ok, his son is damn amazing as well. But just like his father, Brandon has his own style and is every bit as unique and individual.

Crimes of the Future is set in the not-so-distant future. Humans have evolved beyond their natural state and capabilities. This is due to a process known as Accelerated Evolution Syndrome. But with all great power, there comes control, corruption & abuse.

As well as Viggo Mortensen, Crimes of the Future also stars, Kristen Stewart, Léa Seydoux, Tanaya Beatty, Nadia Litz, Scott Speedman, Lihi Kornowski, Yorgos Karamichos, Welket Bungué, Yorgos Pirpassopoulos, & Don McKellar.

Expect to hear more on Crimes of the Future as the news unfolds. This is one we will be following every step of the way. As always, thanks for reading.
