The new trailer for Manga adaptation, ALITA BATTLE ANGEL gives us evil robots
It was sometime back, we reported that a live-action adaptation of Manga ALITA BATTLE ANGEL was in the works.
The new film is produced by James Cameron and is set for a December 2018 release. The new vision is brought to us by none other than Robert Rodriguez (Sin City) who also serves as a producer on the movie.
The trailer looks to be full of heavily bladed evil killer robots. But I’m wondering how hardcore it will be?. Will, Cameron and the powers that be play it safe? or give us a movie that doesn’t feel like it was made for 12-year-olds?. Time will tell.
I don’t know if Alita looks cute or like some sort of weird bug-eyed robot. It won’t be too long until A.I with similar features will be tending to all our needs. Not long after that, we will become extinct and our evil robot overlords will reign the remains of our dying planet keeping just a few of us humans for their sick robotic pleasure.
ALITA BATTLE ANGEL sports a fantastic cast. Christoph Walz (Inglorious Basterds), Rosa Salazar (Maze Runner), Jennifer Connolly (Requiem For A Dream), and Mahershala Ali (Moonlight). The supporting cast includes Jackie Earl Haley (Preacher), Ed Skrien (Deadpool) and Michelle Rodriguez (Fast & The Furious).
