OVERLORD: First Trailer For J.J Abrams Produced Zombie Movie Looks Damn Insane – Moviehooker

The first trailer for the highly anticipated J.J Abrams produced zombie movie OVERLORD is finally here

At one point it was uncertain if we were ever going to get to see Overlord, the first R-Rated production from J.J Abrams production company Bad Robot. There were rumours that the film would be the next instalment of the Cloverfield franchise. Abrams denied those claims at CinemaCon, April 2018.

I have to say, the trailer really blew my mind. The production and FX look like it could be taking R-rated movies to the next level.

The story follows a group of American soldiers who find themselves trapped behind Nazi enemy lines. The soldiers soon realise that the Nazi’s have been experimenting on human subjects, turning them into some sort of monsters or zombies. In typical zombie/horror movie form, the group of soldiers must fight to survive. I was very impressed amount of blood spilled in the first trailer. This looks like it is going to be good.

The film was first announced back in 2007 when Paramount Pictures first acquired the new movie. Overlord is directed by Julius Avery (Jerrycan, Son Of A Gun) with an original idea by Abrams. The script penned by Billy Ray, who is meant to be writing the screenplay for H.H Holmes serial killer movie, The Devil In The White City starring Leo DiCaprio.

Overlord is due for release this November. I am not sure if that is a worldwide release though as it just states the USA. As soon as I know I will update the article so you guys don’t miss what looks to be one the craziest horrors this year.

As always, thanks for reading

I really hope you enjoy the trailer. I think I have watched it at least 10-times already. I honestly can’t wait for a Red Band trailer.
