Trailer For New Eric Bana Thriller THE DRY

The trailer has just dropped for The Dry, a new murder mystery thriller from Australia starring  Eric BanaGenevieve O’Reilly and Matt Nable

Based on the debut novel by Australian author Jane Harper that was released in 2016. The Dry is directed and written by Robert Connolly (Balibo, The Slap,) and looks like a must-watch for fans of murder-mystery thrillers.

In the grip of the worst drought in a century, the farming community of Kiewarra is facing life and death choices daily when three members of a local family are found brutally slain.
Federal Police investigator Aaron Falk reluctantly returns to his hometown for the funeral of his childhood friend, loath to face the townsfolk who turned their backs on him twenty years earlier.
But as questions mount, Falk is forced to probe deeper into the deaths of the Hadler family. Because Falk and Luke Hadler shared a secret. A secret Falk thought was long buried. A secret Luke’s death now threatens to bring to the surface in this small Australian town, as old wounds bleed into new ones.

Eric Bana has been high up on my list of favourite actors ever since he played Mark Chopper Reid in Chopper. It’s great that he has done so well in Hollywood, but anything since Chopper has been hit or miss for me. In his defence, his portrayal of Chopper Reid was one of the best performances of any biopic or semi-biopic film released to date, so it was always gonna be tough one.

So, I am really looking forward to The Dry and seeing Bana back working on an indie production in Australia.

The Dry is due for release on New Year’s Day. As Always, thanks for reading. Enjoy the trailer
