UPDATED: Trailer For True Detective Season 3 – Moviehooker

I am a little late with posting this, but the trailer has arrived for True Detective season 3

I think I’m one of the only people who enjoyed the second season of True Detective. I loved Farrell’s crazy character, and yes, I enjoyed Vince Vaughn in what I think was his first break away from comedy.

My only problem with the second season was there too much going on. It was like the writers couldn’t agree. They decided to cram all their ideas into one season, the result was a little messy and rushed. McAdams and Kitsch were great as well but I felt their story held very little relevance to the plot.

Anyway, enough of me trying to defend season 2. I know I won’t change your mind about it.

So, now season three has wrapped production, things are moving along nicely. As you know (maybe you don’t), Jeremy Saulnier (Blue Ruin, Green Room, Murder Party and Netflix original Hold The Dark Nic Pizzolato was taking the reigns for the second half.

Saulnier exited the second season of True Detective. The word on the street is that the director parted ways after directing just two episodes. It was reported that the reason for his departure was due to scheduling conflicts.

In my opinion, Saulnier was the perfect man for the job. Although this was his first stab at a TV, his previous work gave me nothing but faith for True Detective Season 3. His replacement director is Daniel Sackheim who is known for his work on The Walking Dead and HBO’s Game Of Thrones.

Not a lot is known about the plot of the third series apart from it is about a cop played by Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) who gets thrown into a murder investigation spanning over decades.

The third season stars Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) and Carmen Ejogo (Selma) and Stephen Dorff (Leatherface).

Now, we can finally share a trailer from the upcoming third series. I hope you enjoy. It looks and feels just like season one. True Detective is back in true form.
