It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia stars Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day will write and star in a new comedy series
The new comedy series will be set in a video game development studio. Each episode will reportedly have a run-time on 30-minutes.
It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia has to be one of the funniest tv shows’ ever written for television.
To think it just started with a couple of guys and a video camera. There was no denying, that even with their tiny little budget, the characters we got introduced to in that first pilot back in 2005 won us over. Now approaching its 13th season, the series seems to be as strong, witty and as filthy as ever.
Interview with The Wrap about It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia: Season 13
“You definitely get Season 13, which we’re making right now, and Season 14, which we are contracted to do, and then beyond that, it’ll be up to FX. But I think 15 is the record for a comedy, so I imagine we’ll all want to hold the record for the longest-running comedy in America. Fifteen would be the record for the longest live-action comedy, so we’ll probably try and break that record if we can.”
It will certainly be sad to see It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia come to an end. The four guys and a bird had a great run and have entertained the masses to the max. I hope this new series will be as every bit as successful as It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
Who knows what their new series will be like. I know I am sad because there is no mention of Howerton(The Golden God). That guy has to be one of my favourite characters of all time.
No mention of a release date just yet. Apple has given the go-ahead for a straight-to-series order. More to follow as it’s announced.
As always, thanks so much for reading.
