Fans of the superb (and not so superb) Alien franchise have a lot to look forward to. It looks like Ridley Scott will be explaining the origins of the Xenomorph in upcoming Alien/Prometheus sequels, and eventually the franchise will have come full-circle and it will end where Scott’s original 1978, Alien begins…excited much?
“I’m trying to keep this for myself. I let the other one get away from me – I shouldn’t have… I’m trying to re-resurrect the beast and let if off the hook for a while because I’m coming back into the back-end of Alien 1. I’m gradually getting to Alien 1. Prometheus 2 will start getting shot in February and I’ve already begun now so I know what the script is. Then there will be another one after that and then maybe we’ll back into Alien 1, as to why? Who would make such a dreadful thing?.
Not exactly sure how the sequels will play out – we know that Neill Blomkamp (District 9, Elysium, Chappie) has been signed for one of them and his film has been officially titled, Alien: Paradise Lost. Then we have Prometheus 2, for the main man himself, Ridley Scott. I think there was news that Blomkamp’s film was pushed back to after Prometheus 2, which sort of makes sense (but I could be wrong).
Alien: Paradise lost will see Sigourney Weaver and Michael Biehn reprise there roles as Ripley and Hicks
