65: A Quiet Place writers team up with producer Sam Raimi for new dino sci-fi horror

65 is a new sci-fi written and directed by A Quiet Place writers Scott Beck & Bryan Woods. It stars Adam Driver, Ariana Greenblatt & Chloe Coleman and is due for release in 2023

Well, this one seemed to have just came out of nowhere and we aren’t complaining. A new gorgeous looking sci-fi epic with killer dinosaurs from the writers of A Quiet Place and also produced by Sam Raimi? I mean, that’s one hell of a cinematic combo, right?

Official Plot (wiki)

After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills quickly discovers he’s stranded on Earth…65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa, must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive

Could this be the adult dino movie we have all been craving? I mean, Jurassic Park was awesome, and it still is but it is so kiddie friendly in comparison to the original book by Michael Crichton. If it ain’t some crazy B-movie where Pastors morph into Velocipastors then the whole adult dino sub-genre is pretty much untouched. So, could 65 be the adult dino flick we never knew we needed? It certainly looks stunning anyways, with great creature FX (probs CGI but still great) and a breathtakingly beautiful, yet dangerous-looking world.

Now, the only issue I have is just how many people are gonna be on this new planet. if it’s just the two of them then we shouldn’t be expecting any sort of high kill count. IMDb states that there are only 3 cast members, so, we will have to see what’s in store. So far, I am certainly impressed but I defs wanna see some dino rampages.

Here’s the trailer, enjoy.
