Official Trailer For Spielberg’s READY PLAYER ONE

Get ready to enter the Oasis in Steven Spielberg’s READY PLAYER ONE

Ready Player One tells the story of Wade Watts. A young teenager who lives in a post-apocalyptic world full of disease, pollution and desperation. The once beautiful infrastructure of the city he lived in has been replaced by high-rise “stacks”.

The world’s population increased so much, the cities skyscrapers and luxury pads have all been replaced by scaffolding and mobile homes piled on top of each other.

But there is an escapism for all, a virtual reality world called the Oasis. In the Oasis you can be anything or anyone you want to be. This where Wade spends all of his time. He found an old trailer buried and hidden away from the rest of the world. All he needs is a good connection to the Oasis.

When the richest man alive – and the creator of the Oasis dies, he leaves a message for his followers. Halliday has hidden an Easter Egg somewhere in his online universe. The first person to solve the clue gets his entire fortune. Not only that, but the lucky person will also gain complete control of the Oasis.

This news causes the entire online universe to compete against each other to become the new king/queen of the Oasis..and inherit half a trillion dollars. Let the game begin!.

Ready Player One is a huge film. I am not just talking about the visuals, it’s the referencing to 80’s music, musicians, bands, films, tv shows and actors. I’d say one of the biggest paycheques signed was the one for the royalties.

People thought there was no way of getting permission to all of the 80’s content referenced in Ready Player One. I’d say having a name like Steven Spielberg, grants you pretty much a free-pass in Hollywood. If anyone can do it, then why not hire the most powerful director in Hollywood – I dare you to say to no to Steven Spielberg!.

Author of Ready Player One, Ernest Cline is now working on a sequel to the book. If Steven Spielberg makes your debut book into a feature-length blockbuster film, it’s time to start writing again.

As always, thanks for reading. Enjoy the trailer.

Starring: Tye Sheridan, T. J. Miller, Olivia Cooke, Simon Pegg, Ben Mendelsohn, and Mark Rylance.
