Indonesian horror maestro Joko Anwar recently announced that his new series is on its way to Netflix
Joko Anwar has been a very busy man of late. With his new horror, Siska Kubar (Grave Torture) being recently released, fans can rejoice that he now has a brand new horror series: Nightmares & Daydreams.
Plot details are still minimal but it looks like Nightmares and Daydreams is a supernatural sci-fi series with complex characters whose stories intertwine during the runtime.

A sci-fi supernatural series about ordinary people encountering strange phenomena that may be keys to the answer about the origin of our world and the imminent threat we will soon face. Characters and plots will intertwine like pieces of a puzzle. And the big picture will be awe-inspiring.”
The stills that I have seen are visually hypnotic and, to me, look quite different from anything that Anwar has done. If I had to make some comparison based on the stills that I have seen then I would say that Nightmares & Daydreams looks like The Void with the visual intensity of Nicolas Winding Refn
Nightmares & Daydreams arrive on Netflix on June 14th. Add that date to your calendar…this one is going to be special. I am still uncertain about how many episodes we’re getting in the first season.
