Poster + Trailer For Brandon Cronenberg’s POSSESSOR

Brandon Cronenberg’s highly anticipated second feature, Possessor now has an Official Poster and Trailer

I remember writing about Possessor when it was in the early stages of pre-production. Back then, there wasn’t really a lot to go on except a really creepy image.

8-years ago, Brandon Cronenberg released his directorial debut, Antiviral. While a lot didn’t quite get it, it became an indie horror hit. I knew that Brandon was the son of David Cronenberg, so if Antiviral wasn’t “out there” and fucked up and crazy, I would have been very disappointed.

So, it’s great to see such a unique talent back with a new film. And, man, 8-years is a long break away from directing. I think that Possessor will re-establish Cronenberg as one of the best directors working in independent horror

What’s Is Possessor About?

Official Plot –

From the visionary mind of writer/director Brandon Cronenberg, POSSESSOR is an arresting sci-fi thriller about elite, corporate assassin Tasya Vos. Using brain-implant technology, Vos takes control of other people’s bodies to execute high profile targets. As she sinks deeper into her latest assignment Vos becomes trapped inside a mind that threatens to obliterate her.

The premise sounds great, although I am expecting it to be a little complicated. In a way, it reminds me of Black Mirror with a little bit of Inception thrown in…you know, just to make things even more confusing.

I’m certain this is going to be one of the best horrors to hit our screens this year. I also think it is a film that will require multiple viewings. I know it will for me anyways.

Possessor looks to be a feature-length adaptation of Brandon Cronenberg’s short Please Speak Continuously and Describe Your Experiences as They Come to You
