The Convert: Guy Pearce Historical Action Epic

We just got the press in for THE CONVERT, a new historical action film starring the wonderful Guy Pearce and it looks and sounds epic – check out the press release below

London, September 2024: Vertigo Releasing will be releasing Guy Pearce‘s historical, action epic, The Convert, to own or rent on digital from October 14th.

When lay preacher (Guy Pearce – Momento, The Hurt Locker, L.A. Confidential) arrives at a British settlement in 1830s New Zealand, his violent past is drawn into question and his faith put to the test as he finds himself caught in the middle of a bloody war between Māori tribes.

The Convert explores questions of faith, transformation, and the nature of violence. A visceral watch, ambitious in scope and action, the film is also one of the most authentic and exciting depictions of pre-colonial Aotearoa New Zealand and Māori culture ever portrayed on screen.

The Convert is directed by Lee Tamahori (Next, xXx: State of the NationOnce Were Warriors, Die Another Day).
