INFECTION: Trailer For New Venezuelan Zombie Film

How come every article I have written recently always starts off with mentioning this damn Covid 19 Virus? Infection may be the horror movie we need right now.

Just judging from the trailer, Infection looks to be a straight-forward zombie film set in a stunning part of the world…Venezuela. But, some scenes in the trailer are frighteningly like the events that unfolded across the world. Only instead of dying from this new flu-like virus, the Infection (a form of Rabies) turns them into ravenous flesh-eaters. I for one am okay with that, and if you’re a fan of zombie movies (like me) then I am sure this will tick all your boxes too.

Infection marks the directorial & writing debut from filmmaker  Flavio Pedota. I am sure there isn’t a more suited time to release his debut than now

Here Is The Official Plot For Infection

After an outbreak of a new strand of the rabies virus turns the population into crazed, bloodthirsty cannibals, a young doctor finds himself separated from his son, with the rapidly decaying city and sprawling countryside standing between them. Navigating his way through the plague-infested streets and marauder-filled backwoods roads, he must use every resource at his disposal to find his way back to his only child and hopefully unlock the secret to a cure for the deadly disease.

Like the fantastic virus movie, Contagion, Infection deals with the survivors of the new rabies virus and also the World Health Organisation employees. So, for those of you that ain’t a fan of subbed movies, you will be happy to know that a lot of this movie seems to be also in English.

Infection was released on digital and DVD on April 10th via Dark Sky Films…go get yourself some rabies!

You can watch the trailer below. I hope you enjoy.

As always, thanks for reading.
