IS THAT A MONKEY? Trailer For KONG: SKULL ISLAND

The full and final trailer has landed for the next movie in the King Kong franchise KONG: SKULL ISLAND

The film stars Tom Hiddleston, John Goodman, Brie Larson, Samuel L Jackson and John C Reilly.

The story is set in the 70’s and will see our cast trespass into unknown territory, Kong’s hometown SKULL ISLAND. By the looks of the trailer, Mr Kong isn’t too happy about his new visitors, except Brie Larson, I am pretty sure Kong will take a shine to her.

Not so long ago, we got treated to an awesome Japnese poster for  Kong: Skull Island. Out of all the posters released this one was by far my favourite

I have to admit. I am impressed with the look and feel of the trailer. This won’t be as hardcore as I would like it to be but it looks like a pretty decent reboot. They have had plenty of time to get this right. We haven’t seen Kong on our screens (I think) since Peter Jackson’s 2005 version of King Kong. And as the trailer shows us, we have a lot more monsters to look forward to than just Kong.

KONG: SKULL ISLAND OFFICIAL PLOT (wiki)

In 1971, a secretive organisation known as Monarch finds an island that is shrouded in mystery and identified as the origin for new species. The resulting expedition to the island reveals that a giant monstrous ape named Kong is at the centre of a battle for dominion over the island, against the apex predators, nicknamed “Skullcrawlers”, responsible for wiping out his kind. As the expedition crew makes plans to fight for survival against Kong and the other monsters on the island, some of them begin to see that Kong is worth saving.
