How would you like to visit the Alien universe on a weekly basis?

Yup, we are going to be getting a new Alien tv series. It’s uncertain at this time which of the streaming giants will be the home for the new Alien series.

Not only does this make perfect sense, but it also seems like perfect timing. While Covenant wasn’t a bad film, the moment I came down from the high of seeing the Xenomorphs cause carnage on-screen I realised that Alien: Covenant wasn’t as good as I first thought. They just can’t seem to get it right. This is a great move not only for continuity but also for creative freedom.

Hey, how knows?, maybe now is a perfect time to get director/writer Neil Blomkamp onboard. If you remember, Blomkamp (who is now signed on to make new ROBOCOP movie ROBOCOP RETURNS) had a ton of concept art done for a new instalment in the Alein universe. The project, unfortunately, got buried even though Sigourney Weaver said she would reprise her role as Ripley.

ScreenGeek reported that Mr H Reviews first announced the news. It has been confirmed that the new Alien series has found a streaming giant as its new breeding ground. Sadly, we are unable to confirm which one it is. It could be Netflix or Amazon or any other streaming service. When we find out, you guys will be the first to know.

ScreenGeek have said this series could follow “the colonists or colonial marines of the LV-426 within the Alien universe.”
