Ok, so I am a little late in posting the news that Robert Pattinson is our new Batman. But this gave me time to read feedback about what people thought of Robert Pattinson getting cast as our new Caped Crusader.
Some people are just assholes, it’s that simple. I read comments like “oh great, our new Batman is going to sparkle”. I think the majority of the hateful and stupid comments were posted by uneducated fools. These fools obviously haven’t seen Pattinson shine in movies like Good Time, The Rover, High Life or David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis.
Pattinson has gone from teen-heartthrob to one of the best indie actors working today. He has also proven to be a very versatile actor approaching different roles and genres.
So, my point is: how is he not capable of donning the Batsuit and putting on a deep voice?. Of course, he can and I have every bit of faith in his acting ability to do so. I also strongly believe that he is going to prove all of the haters wrong.
The new Batman movie will be written and directed by Matt Reeves. The film already has a release date and will be released on July 5th 2021. Although not confirmed, shooting is rumoured to begin this summer.
And yay! someone has found a clip of Robert Pattinson doing his Batman voice. This was way back when he was promoting one of the Twilight movies. In my opinion, he is going to fucking nail this role. Just you wait and see!
