Horror News: Blumhouse + Atomic Monster Joins Forces

Two of the biggest horror production companies (Blumhouse and Atomic Monster) in the world have joined forces to form some sort of Super Horror Production company and we are ALL here for it.

I jokingly said last week that James Wan would create a franchise from the H.P Lovecraft adaptation of Call Of Cthulhu and before we know it, H.P Lovecraft would be known to all as H.P Blumcraft…okay, so we’re not quite yet but this is certainly a step in that direction. James Wan’s Atomic Monster and Jason Blum’s, Blumhouse Productions have merged together to make many a hideously strong super horror production company, Jason Blum recently confirmed on X.com (the artist formally known as Twitter).

THE DEAL IS DONE!

@blumhouse and #AtomicMonster have officially joined forces. The preeminent homes for horror are now under one roof.

Can you just imagine the amount of cash these dudes are going to make? Both their production companies are goldmines already. It’s just scary to think of what these two can achieve with this merging. Yeah, I wouldn’t be the biggest fan of some of their movies but I am still in full support. I have always said that The Conjuring etc have the financial benefits of any big blockbuster Marvel production but without that huge, dare I say it? CGI budget. They’ve a smaller budget, but racking in the same profit – it’s a no-brainer. I am a little surprised that this isn’t three-way partnership. It just seems common sense that Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions should join Blum and Wan’s new horror venture.

So, what are your thoughts on the new super horror production company? What new franchises do you want? and, what would you like them to see bring back from the video nasty days? let us know on the Moviehooker socials.

More information to follows as news is announced. As always, thanks for reading.
