Deadline has confirmed that Leonardo DiCaprio will star in Quentin Tarantino’s new film about The Manson Murders
Yup, you read that right, Leo DiCaprio has been confirmed for Quentin Tarantino’s new film. The film will take place during the summer of 1969 – the summer the Manson murders shocked the world.
Leonardo DiCaprio will play an ageing actor but that’s all the information we have at this moment.
Although not confirmed, it is reported that Quentin Tarantino has approached Margot Robbie for the role of Sharon Tate.
Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise have also been tossed into the pipeline for major roles. If Tarantino can pull together this amazing A-list cast I think we’re on for something very special. It will be great to see these actors take-on something so dark and to throw themselves out of their comfort zones.
Tarantino’s new Manson film will reunite actor Leonardo DiCaprio and director Quentin Tarantino for the first time since Django Unchained (2012).
Although there has been some talk of Leo starring in numerous other movies like the H.H. Holmes movie; or the movie about a man with multiple personalities accused of rape. The Manson murders movie will be Leo’s first film since winning that glorious Oscar for his role in The Revenant.
Sony will handle the rights to the movie after they won a bidding war against other big-wig companies. The film also received a staggering $18m working tax credit.
The Manson Murders will also be the first film Tarantino will release without The Weinstein Company.
