New Japanese Movies - Noise

Based on a Manga of the same name, Noise is set in a small rural Japanese town. For years. the population has been declining due to ageing and migration. But when a new fig called ” the black fig” is found, money and exposure start to pour into the town. As well as the much-needed money, a mysterious stranger also arrives to work at the fig company. The workers soon realise that their new colleague is fresh out of jail for a brutal murder.

ZENKAMONO

New Japanese Movies - zenkamono

Another live-action adaptation of a Manga written by Masahito Kagawa and illustrated Toji Tsukishima. The manga was first published in 2017 by Big Comic Original.

It looks like Zenkamono also had a drama series released in 2020. This film is a completely separate story and said to take place several years after the series.

The story revolves around a probation worker who looks after ex-convicts and juvenile offenders. Her life is torn to pieces when she witnesses a horrific crime.

Thanks for reading. We hope you’ve added these to your future watchlist!.
