The Killer: The Woman Who Deserves to Die was just recently featured in a new South Korean movie list. I stated that out of all the films on that list, this one is my most anticipated. So, it’s a pleasure to share with you all the official press release.
The storyline may sound a bit familiar. But… it’s a storyline and more importantly, a sub-genre that South Korea can do better than anyone else on the planet: hitman-revenge flicks!. So, even if the story does seem like it’s been done before, we can be guaranteed that will see action and fight choreography like no other.
Here’s the information from the official press-release
Theatrical Day & Date Release:(US & Korea)July 13, 2022

Based on a popular Korean web novel, The Killer is a stylistic, anime-like, action-thriller in the vein of John Wick, The Raid, and The Man from Nowhere. It stars JANG Hyuk (Disney +’s Bloody Heart, The Swordsman, Tomb of the River, Windstruck, Volcano High), a veteran actor, who has recently made his mark in the action genre, doing his own stunts and choreographing fight scenes.
OFFICIAL PLOT
Ui-gang is a hit man who has decided to retire. He has a nice house and all the money he needs, but one day his girlfriend takes a trip to Jeju Island and leaves him with a request. Her companion on the trip has a 17-year-old daughter Yoon-ji who will be left alone during their three-week vacation. Ui-gang reluctantly agrees to look after Yoon-ji and make sure she doesn’t get into trouble.
