THE BEST KOREAN TV SHOWS ON NETFLIX UK/IRELAND PART 1

BEST KOREAN TV SHOWS TO STREAM ON NETFLIX (PAGE 2)

THE SILENT SEA

A superb science fiction series with elements of cosmic horror. As earth becomes almost unlivable with water being the most precious thing around. A group of astronauts are sent to a lunar base to obtain samples of a possible discovery of water. But their 24-hour mission quickly turns into a battle for survival when they learn the fate of the previous astronauts stationed there.

D.P.

To this day, I don’t think I have seen a series that hit me like the final scene in D.P. It was soul-crushing with some of the finest acting and writing you could hope for. D.P. follows two army men as they hunt down army deserters and bring them back for sentencing.

The powerful thing about D.P. is that there is no bad guy. The ones who have deserted the army have done so for a good reason and their stories are always heartbreaking to hear.

SWEET HOME

A group of residents are trapped inside of their high-rise apartment building when people start turning into monsters.

Sweet Home just had it’s highly anticipated season 2 recently released which see the story move away from the apartment complex and on to the streets of South Korea.

TV Shows to check out if you enjoyed Sweet Home

HELLBOUND

From Yeon Sang-ho (Train To Busan) and based on Sang-ho’s webtoon. Hellbound follows individuals who are visited by an angel of death. They’re told the exact time and date they are going to die. When that moment arrives, the Executioners Of Hell appear, violently smash them to pieces, then drag the poor unfortunate souls to hell for eternal suffering.

Season 2 has been confirmed, however, I am truly disappointed that the great Yoo Ahh-in was removed from the cast due to drug problems. I feel his shoes would be hard to fill so fingers crossed.

TAXI DRIVER

Taxi Driver is a superb revenge series and I am pretty sure there are now two seasons for you to enjoy on Netflix.

If you need have been wronged are beyond breaking point, you can hire a secret cab company to get revenge on your behalf . You will be charged accordingly by the meter until your act of revenge has been carried out. Taxi Driver also does a very good job at highlighting the problems in South Korea that many people face.

Another series with outstanding production value and what seems like an insanely high budget. The writing is great and the acting is tremendous from everyone. I would even say they are elements James Bond in here, but a more hardcore James Bond and not those 12 rated movies we get every other year.

That’s it for this list of the Best Korean TV Shows On Netflix. Stay tuned for part 2.
