Info on the new Predator movie (Skull)

It has been a long time coming but it looks like we finally have some news on the new Predator movie and, well, it certainly sounds promising.

There were some rumours floating about that the new Predator movie will be called “Skull”. It looks like that this is the working title only. It is still listed as Skull on IMDb but I reckon that will be changing as production gets underway.

The next chapter will be taking things back to basics. It will follow the Predator’s first skull-collecting vacation to planet Earth. It will be a one-on-one battle between human and alien – everything that made the original such a perfect movie. Of course, there will be other human trophies for our Predator but the main battle is one-on-one.

If the rumours are true, the new Predator movie will be more of a period piece. It is said to have more in common with the likes of The Revenant than the last Shane Black…well, let’s just forget that one happened, shall we?

The original 1987 Predator was a straightforward sci-fi action flick and it worked so well because of its simplicity. I really think this sounds like a great way to bring things back to the Predator movies that we all love and adore. It has also been confirmed that the heroine in the movie will be a badass female.

The film will be directed by 10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg with a script from Patrick Aison (Jack Ryan). Not much cast has been announced. There are rumours that Amber Midthunder is going to playing our lead Predator killer.

Expect to hear more on the new Predator movie as the news is announced. As always, thanks for reading.
