Dracula: A Love Tale (2024) – First Look At Caleb Landry-Jones

Hey, it may not be much but it’s better than nothing, we have our first look of Caleb Landry-Jones in Luc Besson’s Dracula: A Love Tale.

We have been reporting on Luc Besson’s Dracula: A Love Tale for some time. Now, I was mistaken in thinking this would be another straightforward reimagining of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. While it is based on Stoker’s classic vampire story, Besson is approaching his retelling from a romantic point of view. Besson said in an interview with Deadline that the romance in the original story is there but never explored much.

In Dracula: A Love Tale, Dracula meets a woman in Paris and thinks she is the reincarnation of his one true love who died in 15th-century Transylvania

When Moviehooker first reported the news, it was confirmed that Caleb Landry-Jones and Christoph Waltzh was set to star. This is still the case but I couldn’t have been more wrong about the roles. Caleb Landry-Jones is Count Dracula and Christoph Waltz is playing a vampire-hunting priest (not sure if his name is Van Helsing)

It looks like a beautiful cinematic partnership has been formed with Luc Besson and Caleb Landry-Jones. Their most recent collaboration, Dogman impressed Besson so much that it got him thinking about other roles he could Landry-Jones could play. Besson then said to CLJ he’d make a great Dracula and said “You know what? I’m just going to write it”. The director calls Caleb Landry-Jones the most impressive actor since Gary Oldman.

Stay tuned to Moviehooker as we bring you more news on Luc Besson’s Dracula: A Love Tale as soon as it’s released.

Meanwhile, just look at that beautiful BTS picture! that suit of blood-soaked armour is something else!
