Yes, you read that headline right. Steve Buscemi stars alongside John Magaro and Britt Lower in The Shallow Tale Of A Writer Who Decided To Write About A Serial Killer (wow, that’s quite a mouthful). Described as a comedy-drama it tells the story of a writer who is going through a divorce. He forms an unlikely friendship with a retired serial killer who becomes his marriage counsellor by day and his main inspiration for his new book by night.
I’ve missed Steve Buscemi, so I am delighted to see him make a comeback. If this is the role he is choosing, then I can not wait to see what comes next. He can play any sort of role but we very rarely (if ever apart from Boardwalk Empire and Con Air) see him take on the role of a bad guy…especially a serial killer. This flick has just shot up to be one of my most anticipated movies of the year.
The Shallow Tale Of A Writer Who Decided To Write About A Serial Killer marks director/writer Tolga Karaçelik’s English-language debut.
