A new list of 3 upcoming vampire movies releasing this year
We are back with a small list of upcoming vampire movies releasing in 2022. Will they be any good? well, we will just have to wait and see. I hope you enjoy it!.
DAY SHIFT
Day Shift was featured in a recent movie list we published. This new vampire comedy has a lot going for it. It is the directorial debut by JJ Perry who worked as a stunt coordinator in movies like John Wick and The Fast and The Furious flicks. It is produced by 87Eleven who produced John Wick, Deadpool and many more huge blockbuster action films.
Not a lot is known about the plot but Jamie Foxx plays a guy who owns a pool cleaning business. This is just a front though for his real job, hunting and killing vampires.
Co-starring the awesome Scott Adkins and Dave Franco. No release date has been confirmed but expect it to arrive on Netflix soon.
SALEM’S LOT
The words “remake of Salem’s Lot” will no doubt strike fear and anger into the hearts of many Stephen King fans. However, although they’re not my type of horror flicks at all, there is a lot of love for movies like Annabelle & The Nun and that’s who we have writing and directing this new remake of King’s vampire classic: Gary Dauberman
The story of a writer who moves to a small American town and notices that a lot of the residents are vampires.
I will cautiously approach this one and just hope for the best. Starring Lewis Pullman, William Sadler, & Spencer Treat Clark.
SLAYERS
Slayers actually sounds like a lot of fun. A group of young social media influencers are tricked into going to a mansion thinking they’re attending some big party. When they all arrive, they’re trapped inside with no way out. The party mansion is actually a vampire’s lair…and it’s feeding time. It’s up to an old-school vampire slayer and an online gamer to put an end to the vampire threat.
Starring Abigal Breslin, Thomas Jane & Malin Akerman. It is directed by K.Asher Levin & written by Levin and Zack Imbrogno.
Well, that’s it for this list. Short and sweet. I hope you’ve added these new 2022 vampire films to your watchlist. As always, thanks for reading.
