Halloween Horror: A List of 12 titles

It always feels a bit strange when I write something like a Halloween Horror list because, well, I write about horror films nearly every day.

No matter what type of horror you’re into, I am sure I have got something in this list for everyone. I hope you enjoy it.

FALLING STARS

Falling Stars sounds like the perfect fitting for a Halloween horror. Set in an alternate reality where witches are real, It follows a group of — who venture into a desert to dig up the remains of an old witch.

You will be able to check out Falling Stars on VOD and in select U.S. cinemas next Friday, October 11th!

I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE

I Will Never Leave You Alone is another new witch horror. It follows a recently patrolled mute prisoner who is offered a reduced sentence if he stays 6 days in a haunted house and rids it of the evil spirits that lurk there.

You can check out I Will Never Leave You Alone on the 18th of October on VOD/Digital via Dark Sky Films.

LORE

If horror anthologies are your thing then Lore is the movie for you. A new British anthology horror that focuses on different tales of terror all told around a campfire.

The reviews have been great and this one is a Halloween horror for mature audiences. You can check out Lore on TVOD on the 21st of October.

MEMBERS CLUB

If kinky witches are your thing then you will want to check out Members Club. It follows the 5th best stripper group in Essex who get a gig in a rural part of town not knowing they’re going to be sacrificed for the resurrection of a 16th Century witch with a very strange fetish.

This one is a wild ride and a lot of ridiculous yet mature fun. Members Club will be available on UK Digital Platforms from 21st October.

BROKEN BIRD

Broken Bird tells the story of Sybil Chamberlin, a taxidermist by day and a poet by night. Sybil’s fascination with dead things takes a worrying turn when she is offered a job in a funeral parlour where she starts to take her obsession to new, unimaginable heights.

I had the pleasure of interviewing director Joanne Mitchell and also got to meet her and the lovely Dominic Brunt (screenwriter and hubby to Joanne) at FrightFest. British horror BROKEN BIRD is on digital platforms as of 20th September.

TENANTS

Tenants is another horror anthology. It doesn’t offer us anything new in the sub-genre but it is a commendable, low-budget indie effort.

A woman in a desperate search for her sister gets trapped inside the apartment building where the sister lives. With each floor comes a different tale of dread that focuses on the other residents in the high-rise building.

You can check out Tenants on Demand as of September
