Eddington: A24 Announce New Ari Aster Flick Coming Soon

A24 have just announced that they will be releasing yet another Ari Aster film called Eddington, very soon.

A24 seems to be the home for Ari Aster. He has given the production company hit after hit and it seems he has total creative freedom to bring us his twisted vision.

His last film, Beau is Afraid was met with mixed reviews. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the, to be honest, but I could still appreciate the craftsmanship going on infant and behind the camera. One thing is for sure though, A24 has got Aster’s back!

A24 released an image of a desert and a clicker board saying- ” Eddington coming soon”. I checked IMDb to see what I could find and it was listed as in pre-production. Pre-production definitely means that it will not be coming soon. I am guessing the page hasn’t been updated and the film is now in post-production

What is Eddington About?

We have got a stellar cast including Austin Butler, Emma Stone, Pedro Pascal and Joaquin Phoenix (wowzer, right?). I can tell you that it has been described as a Neo-Noir western with dark comedy and horror elements (I am already sold already).

A couple driving cross-country run out of fuel just outside of a small quiet town. They have no choice but to spend the night there. But when the sun goes down in this town, the seemingly once friendly folk who live there start to show their true evil colours.

I’m sure you will agree with me that the plot sounds like It has been done a thousand times before. However, I have no idea what sort of horror we are going to get and that is what intrigues me the most. It could be vampires or just some plain old old-school hillbillies that wanna do nasty stuff to the young couple. Or, it could be neither of those things but when I hear of the sun going down my mind goes in the vampire direction.

Stay tuned for more updates as we learn them. Now that we have this flick in our sights, we will be following it every step of the way.
