NEWS: Timo Tjahjanto to direct Nobody 2?

Some great news according to Deadline for the sequel to Nobody, the hugely enjoyable actioner starring Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul’s Bob Odenkirk.

Nobody stars Odenkirk as Hutch Mansell. A seemingly normal loving husband with kids living the American dream. But Hutch ain’t exactly who he is pretending to be. He is harbouring a very dangerous secret and when pushed to breaking point he becomes a highly trained killing machine that will stop at nothing until there’s a room full of broken corpses.

Now, with the news that Timo Tjahjanto is on board to direct the sequel Nobody 2, we can only expect the violence to be amped up to 11. For those of you who are unaware of Timo’s work then he has given us some of the most impressive action flicks in the past decade on par with the style of Gareth Evans’ The Raid Movies. If you haven’t checked out Headshot or The Night Comes For Us then do me a favour, stop reading this article and go watch them. They’re both on Netflix. You’re welcome

Nobody was a jaw-dropper for everyone who watched it. To see Odenkirk dish out this severe badassery was breathtaking and just so, so unexpected. He couldn’t be more far away from the character we’ve grown to love, Saul Goodman. I can not wait to see what Odenkirk and Timo Tjahjanto do with Hutch Mansell and Nobody 2.

I don’t mean this in a bad way but sadly Nobody 2 may be the English-language debut of Timo Tjahjanto. This means, that the James Wan produced, Train to Busan remake, titled The Last Train to New York has been shelved. More information to follow on Nobody 2 and hopefully The Last Train to New York.
